The Mi'kmaq Warriors would like to welcome Kiedis Martin and Brady Googoo to the Warrior family. Kiedis and Brady were protected in this week protection list submitted by each team in the ECJLL following the combine. Head coach Mitch Hanngian commented on the Warriors protections "We are thrilled to add two very talented protections to our organization - Kiedis Martin and Brady GooGoo. Both players not only represented their province this summer as members of the LNS provincial box and field programs, respectively. But also, their Nation - as members of the Nova Scotia Mi'kmaw North American Indigenous Games Team in 2023. We can't wait to see what Kiedis and Brady will do over their 5-year career as Warriors!"
Kiedis and Brady both played there 2024 season with the U17 Truro Bearcats in the SMLL. Following the season Kiedis was made U17 Jr Thunderbird team that played in the Jr NLL tournament which features teams from NLL cities around North America. Then in September Kiedis travel to Calgary to play at the 2024 Field Lacrosse Nationals as part of the Nova Scotia U17 Provincial field lacrosse team. Following nationals Brady join teammate Kiedis Martin at the 2024 Field Nationals in Calgary Alberta as part of the Nova Scotia U17 Provincial Field lacrosse team. Brady also played for the U16 Team Mi'kmaw Nova Scotia NAIG lacrosse team.
